Spring Music News!

Hello Friends!

This little tease of Spring has been so exciting, and I am looking ahead for more on the horizon!

Drank The Gold have a lot of music plans to share with you all, and we hope you will share in our excitement and anticipation!

First off, tonight is our monthly Irish Session at The Inn at Saratoga: if you haven't been before, we musicians gather around a table in the restored victorian living room and play Irish dance tunes and songs in an informal and conversational manner.  We invite audience participation (dancers encouraged!) and always have a wonderful evening of music.  The Inn has announced that this month they will be having Pearse Irish Whiskey tastings!

Coming up next weekend is the annual Flurry Festival, held in downtown Saratoga Springs: though originally a contra dancing festival, it has grown to include nearly every style of dancing (to live music), and music performances, workshops, and jams.  If you are available at all during the weekend of February 15-17, you should definitely stop by to check some of it out!  Our cousin band The Grady Girls will be playing a concert and accompanying two Irish dance classes - in all cases partnered up with Irish dancer Danielle Enblom, from MN.

We will continue our Monday and Tuesday residencies: Monday playing American roots music at Mouzon House and Tuesday playing Irish music at The Inn at Saratoga.

We are putting together a whole host of extra concerts and events to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in March.  A couple of previews: Drank The Gold will be performing at the the Crandall Public Library as part of their Live! Folklife Concert Series on 3/14; The Grady Girls will be playing a Little Folks Matinee at Caffe Lena on 3/17, and, in addition, offering instrumental workshops at Caffe Lena on 3/16; and The Drank The Gold Trio (including Leah on bodhrán) will be playing a late night set at The Local Pub & Teahouse on 3/17.

All event details are on my Dates page or facebook
