Hello friends,
Happy New Year! I hope you found a chance to rest and renew at some point in the last few weeks, and also got your fill of cheery times. Though the weather has dipped cold, and I find myself curled up under a pile of blankets on the couch many an evening, this January also holds many music making opportunities that I am looking forward to. And YOU are invited to join in many of them!

And my full calendar listing HERE.

Drank The Gold has exactly one show this month, at our favorite barn: The Cock ‘n Bull. Mark Saturday, January 18th on your calendar and join us for dinner. We'll be playing from 6-9 pm - in the bar or in the dining room depending on reservations - so get yours in the book today: 518-882-6962.

It's also back to [music] school time this week - with Folk Club Kids and After School Folk Ensembles at Caffe Lena resuming on Wednesday, as well as my private lessons. Check out my education page for all of the details - we'd love to have you join us from near and far!

Beginning Thursday evening in Ithaca, NY, is the Winter Village Music Camp - where I'll be joining a fantastic faculty of musical friends and heroes. Reviewing this list of just the fiddle teachers has got me very excited with anticipation: Rachel Eddy, Judy Hyman, Emily Miller, Jesse Milnes, Louise Bichan, Natalie Padilla, Quinn Bachand, Austin Scelzo, Kevin Wimmer, Laurie Hart, Tim Ball, Rick Manning, and me!
I'll be teaching an old time fiddle class, an Irish fiddle class, and Irish Ensemble class with James Gascoyne and leading an Irish session (also with James), as well as performing Friday and Saturday evenings. Come for the weekend, just a day, or for the Saturday night concert - it will be a great way to brighten up your January!

NEW this year, starting at the end of the month at Caffe Lena, James and I will be offering a ten week Irish Music Ensemble for adults or anyone available on Wednesdays at noon. We're really excited to launch this new offering: check out all the info.

And, last but not least, tonight at The Inn at Saratoga, James and I will be playing Irish tunes with Padraig Timmony from 7-9 pm. Please stop by, we'd love to see you!
LOOKING AHEAD: Besides these classes and events, I've always got some other music adventures in the works. Next month, put The Flurry Festival on your calendar the weekend of February 14-16, where James and I will be accompanying Rebecca McGowan's Irish dance classes and events, as well as offering a one-off Youth Folk Ensemble class.
Drank The Gold and The Millstone Rounders are making exciting plans for the spring, summer, and beyond. If you know of a place you'd love to see us play, give me a shout. I always love to hear from you!
