Beginning Fiddle - ages 7-14 (10 weeks)

Online Group Class

A ten-week online fiddle course for children ages 7-14 who are new to the instrument.

Join our growing community of young fiddle players at Caffè Lena School of Music!

Classes will take place every Tuesday from April 13th to June 15th from 3:30pm to 4:10pm. No experience necessary!

Prior to the first class, instructors would like to meet each student for 10 minutes for an assessment. Our Program Coordinator will reach out to schedule a convenient time.

We ask that each family choose a parent / guardian (or an older sibling) to join the evaluation to be the Designated Tuning Assistant (also known as the DTA!) in support of the young musician's success. The DTA will be available prior to each class to ensure instruments in tune.

All School of Music students from the children's program will be working from a common repertoire of songs that best fit their individual progress. Classes will be conducted in a Master Class format where each student will receive individualized attention and instruction on the piece they are currently working on.

The workshop will be taught on the Zoom internet platform by local fiddler instructor Oona Grady. Headphones or earbuds will be really helpful. Instructions for signing on will be sent to registrants when they enroll.

$140, scholarships are available
